Hello,
I am Kwaku Adu, the founder of Adu Legal. I am an experienced lawyer with keen focus on effective dispute resolution and trial advocacy.
I routinely represent clients in matters including personal injury, insurance claims, commercial disputes, immigration, estates (will drafting, estates administration and litigation), and employment disputes.
My Story
Originally from Ghana, West Africa, I immigrated to Canada in 2008 and kept alive my longstanding dream of becoming a lawyer. I have developed diverse skills that enable me to appreciate various perspectives and provide tailored legal advice to each of my clients ranging from small to large businesses, individuals, insurers, professional associations, and government agencies.

Whether you are seeking compensation following an accident, defending a claim against you or creating a succession plan for your dependants, I aim to be accessible to you at every step of the way. I seek to provide you with practical and cost-effective legal advice, while minimizing red tape.
I have appeared before the Alberta and Ontario Courts of Justice, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and several tribunals. I also act as a hearing adjudicator for regulated professionals including physicians, dentists, optometrists, nurses, and social workers, who are governed under Alberta’s Health Professions Act.
Outside of work, I enjoy dancing to afrobeats, salsa and bachata, travelling, and playing soccer.
